From Friday 25 March to Friday 3 June 2022, Moving Futures Festival can be seen in nine Dutch cities.
Moving Futures is the festival where you can experience dance by the latest generation of makers in all its manifestations. Every year, the festival offers innovative dance in a varied programme of performances, installations, workshops and (after)talks in nine Dutch cities. Let yourself be surprised by today’s involved, cheeky and barrier-breaking dance makers and performers.
Moving Futures is supported by a shared vision of how to shape talent development for a new generation of dance makers. The network and festival function as a meeting place for makers, audiences, programmers and producers and, in addition to the programming, offers a rich and frameworks programme that invites the audience to meet the choreographers in various ways.
Through targeted cooperation between the partners and with local theatres and various partners, the houses strive to achieve visibility and build name recognition for a new generation of choreographers.
From 28 to 30 April, the festival will visit Rotterdam for the sixth time.

Dansateliers will participate with works by Marta & Kim (with FASE and – only in Rotterdam – Our arms Grew Together), Courtney May Robertson (with The Woman destroyed and The pleasure of stepping off a horse when in full speed), Ian Yves Ancheta and Iannes Bruylant (with an unconventional striptease) and Joseph Simon (with no less than 4 different events, to be seen here).
