Dansateliers Filmweekend

Welcome to the online Dansateliers Filmweekend! As a little present, we would like to send you off into a winter break with a small selection of dance films and the registration of Pilot PC that was specially made.

All films can be seen from Friday 18 December 17:00h until Sunday 20 December, except for Pilot PC, which is only on show on Friday evening December 18th from 17:00h onwards.

What’s on show?

Something Soft – Paul Sixta in collaboration with Marta & Kim


This fall the new performance FASE by Marta & Kim was supposed to premiere at Festival Circolo. Due to corona restrictions this could not happen. However, rethinking possibilities and with the help of our lovely partners in crime from Festival Circolo, they were able to work on  a short film together with filmmaker Paul Sixta
On show from Friday evening 18 December until Sunday evening 20 December.

Le Faune – Joseph Simon

A fantasy-world on film, based on the ballet L’après-midi d’un Faune by Vaslav Nijinski. In his highly suggestive and poetic film Le Faune, Simon makes use of peculiar camera stand points, soft focus and voices.
On show from Friday evening 18 December until Sunday evening 20 December.


Looking back on Stating The Obvious – Ingrid Berger Myhre

Stating The Obvious premiered in October. After the tour had to be cancelled due to new corona restrictions, filmmaker Paul Sixta made a short documentation of the work.
