The Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (RIDCC) takes place from 18 to 20 June.
In June 2026, Rotterdam will host the eighth edition of the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (RIDCC). This vibrant event brings together international dance talent from across the globe to showcase the future of contemporary dance.
During this competition, 16 selected choreographers will present their innovative and diverse duets, competing for a range of prestigious awards. RIDCC serves as a unique springboard for emerging artists, fostering a global community dedicated to diversity and innovation in dance.
The program offers an insight into current contemporary dance, featuring a variety of styles and themes. On the final day, the XL Production Award of €100,000 will be presented, and audience members are invited to vote for the Audience Award.

The finalists will be evaluated by an esteemed international jury, led by chair Kristin de Groot (consultant and former director of Dansateliers). The 2026 panel includes:
- Anouk van Dijk – Choreographer and founder of Countertechnique.
- Anna-Kay Alicia Gayle – Dance artist and choreographer.
- Rupert Tookey – Artistic assistant at Scapino Ballet Rotterdam.
- Katrín Hall – Artistic director of GöteborgsOperans Danskompani.
