Dane Badal is a dancer and choreographer. For One Night’s Dance 2019, he is working on his new piece Tandava.
What are you most looking forward to in One Night’s Dance?
‘To create something that pushes myself and the boundaries of my own expectations. And to feel the freedom of experimenting in that field.’
What do you hope to gain in the process?
‘I hope to gain alot of insight of how i can use poppin and contemporary dance in a dance theatrical way.’
What are your dreams for the future?
‘I would love to have a company that travels the world. I want to collaborate and create with other wonderful artists and musicians. I’d like to develop the best version of myself and along the way inspire and help a lot of people. Health, wealth, love and happyness are the pilars of my life.’
What is typically you?
‘Typically me… is that I sometimes tend to wander off into thoughts. Which results in that I won’t hear what has been said, haha. I’m a dreamer.’
