Who are we looking for?
You know the dance (performing arts) field well. You are enthusiastic and decisive, and bring your own perspective and view of dance in today’s world. You are a driven professional who – together with the team – sets the course: substantive and agenda-setting, but also anticipating and thus future-oriented. You have proven leadership qualities and thrive in a dynamic work environment. Besides an artistic vision on the development of dance, you also have a good business sense. You like to play chess on different boards and can easily switch between what is going on internally and what is needed externally, or vice versa. You have a heart for the development of dance artists, the art form and the sector.
As director, you are ultimately responsible for the strategic and artistic policy, the financial policy and the personnel policy. You look for connections in the form of strategic partnerships to further shape the mission and vision of the house. All this in consultation and cooperation with the team with whom you are also responsible for the selection of dance artists, the supervision and the outflow of makers. You live in (the neighbourhood of) Rotterdam.
