CROWD in Rotterdam

CROWD Rotterdam is starting: from 5 to 19 September Amparo González Sola (Argentinean, based in the Netherlands) and Ásrún Magnúsdóttir (Reykjavik, Iceland) will be in residence at Dansateliers in Rotterdam.

First of all, we will show them our beautiful city. Then they will get to know and work with other community-based practice makers, such as Connor Schumacher who will be working with the dancers/actors of Theater Babel and Jija Sohn, Julia Reist and Aleksandra Lemm. They will of course have space to do their own research as well. The residency is facilitated by Merel Heering and supported by Dansateliers dramaturge Jiaxin Chen.

CROWD is a partnership of dance organisations that together wish to support dance makers in the further development of a dance practice within the community arts. Through residencies and space for discussion and knowledge development, the programme wants to support established dance artists to build up their professional network, exchange experience with others in the field and develop their practice.
