Every Monday evening you can engage with the emerging choreographers connected to Dansateliers. By the use of physical exercises and tasks they will take you along an exploration in improvisation, performance and body-awareness. Professional dancer, amateur or never seen a dancefloor before? No problem, the lesson is open for everyone.
This week, Kim-Jomi Fischer is the guest teacher of the Movement Class.
Kim-Jomi is part of the Dutch/Norwegian duo Marta and Kim, which combines circus and dance. They delve into human contact, which forms the basis for their partner work. Body language is culturally specific, and at the same time universal. Tonight, Kim hosts the Movement Class, where he will look for simple physical metaphors, creating accessible images with a keen eye for detail.
