On October 17, Dramaturgs in Residence Mona De Weerdt and Valerie Wehrens invite everyone to join them for a celebratory launch of their publication Wandering Dramaturgies.
Mona and Valerie are Dramaturgs in Residence 2026 at Dansateliers Rotterdam. During their residency, they continued the research on Wandering Dramaturgies, hosted an Open Studio Showing, and facilitated a workshop titled Wandering Dramaturgies.
Wandering Dramaturgies is a platform founded by Mona De Weerdt and Valerie Wehrens that shines a spotlight on dramaturgy and dramaturgical practices in dance. It brings visibility to dramaturgs working in the field of contemporary dance, as well as to their diverse ways of thinking and working. Their project publishes conversations with 15 dance dramaturgs from Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands on an interactive website and in a booklet (forthcoming in October). Wandering Dramaturgies’ visual world as a vivid biotope is brought to life by illustrator Rommy González and Web Developers izi + riorudo.
From 19:00 to 20:00, we invite everyone to join us for a bowl of soup and a chance to mingle. From 20:00, the party will start with some music in our theatre studio.
Please note that we will keep serving until we are out of soup (first come, first served), and that you can get drinks at the bar for a small price.
