Love is a collaborative work of art.
We are here to ask you:
What do you include in your life?

Welcome to ClubINC!

In ClubINC, host Connor Schumacher and eight dancers take you through a whirlwind total experience of connection.

Using everyone’s knowledge and experience, this performance creates an inclusive world where you are seen, you see others and everyone can participate. Expect fun and vulnerability in an encounter with a group of people who are different from you, or is it you that’s different? We invite you to see them, in an exploration of how together we can fill the dance floor with understanding and appreciation of our differences. A sensational gathering, practicing new skills for life in dance: from opera to techno – let’s go!

There was you
There was the other
There was us

There is the world
And there is every body in it

Love is a collaborative work of art: ClubINC

ClubINC is a co-production by Connor Schumacher/ARK, Theater Babel Rotterdam and Dansateliers and stems from the motivation to learn from each other. This co-production explores how dance as an applied art form can create an inclusive space in which every person can practice their humanity again. The performance is about others. And about yourself.
Duration: about 70 minutes.

Theater Babel Rotterdam:
Theatre Babel Rotterdam is the first fully inclusive professional theatre company working structurally with actors with and without disabilities. Babel promotes artistic accessibility to the stage and believes that this can lead to exciting, challenging and groundbreaking productions that break taboos. Babel shows what a truly inclusive society can look like.

 ARK/Connor Schumacher:
Connor Schumacher has formed a clear vision of what he wants from his work: to move people. Under the banner of his own foundation ARK, established in 2020, Connor’s broad practice takes shape with various performances where the deep connection with the audience is leading.

In 2019, he won the Prize of the Dutch Dance Days and in 2022 he was one of five nominees for the Giekses Strijbis Podium Prijs. It is his deep conviction that our society would be better off if we danced every day.
