Infinite is a search for an intense connection with music. The search for a dialogue that a dancer can have with the music, leading to a connected, timeless and ultimate feeling of infinity. Choreographer Wennah Wilkers finds this connection in house music. She tries to translate the essence of house to the stage. In this way, a playful search for infinity and freedom comes to existence through listening, responding and initiating.
This project is part of One Night’s Dance 2019. One Night’s Dance is the annual talent development trajectory of Dansateliers for early career choreographers. This year, Dane Badal, Suka Horn, Ian Yves Ancheta, Wennah Wilkers and the duo Danielle Huyghe & Alexandra Verschuuren will take on the challenge to make a choreography in a short amount of time.
