Allegory of a night

“Hi, my name is Joseph Simon, I’m a dancer at the Paris Opera and I have something to show you..”

Allegory of a night (2015) is a short dance-performance by choreographer Joseph Simon. Joseph developed the work as part of Dansateliers’ annual trajectory One Night’s Dance in 2015. The piece, for three female performers, is inspired by the origins of the house-scene in New York. In the piece Joseph investigates how he can combine the different movement languages, classical ballet and groovy house in order to tell a new story.
