Jim Buskens (NL, 1996) obtained his propaedeutic degree at Codarts dance academy in Rotterdam in 2016, after which he continued his education at the Toneelacademie in Maastricht. Here Jim obtained his bachelor of Performance degree in the summer of 2021. Jim is currently performing in the international tour of Jan Martens’ new creation, ‘Any attempt will end in crushed bodies and shattered bones’.
Jim’s first graduation performance ‘SKIN’, which he made together with Manouk Pluis in residence at dance company SALLY in Maastricht has been selected for Het Debuut by Via Rudolphi Producties and can be seen in theatres throughout the Netherlands from September 2021. In April 2021, Jim was selected to participate in One Night´s Dance, the annual start-up project for beginning dance makers by Dansateliers Rotterdam.
