Every Monday evening you can engage with the emerging choreographers connected to Dansateliers. By the use of physical exercises and tasks they will take you along an exploration in improvisation, performance and body-awareness. Professional dancer, amateur or never seen a dancefloor before? No problem, the lesson is open for everyone.
In this Movement Class will members of the dance company Lazy Susan & Co will share exercises that were used during the creation of their new work: “This is Just a Simple Dance” (in collaboration with Gerben Vaillant).
The class will be a combination of imagination and partnering exercises. We will explore moving with the guidance of others. The imagination tasks will help you shift between different states that affect movement quality. The aim is to break movement patterns and broaden our movement vocabulary.
