Every Monday evening you can engage with the emerging choreographers connected to Dansateliers. By the use of physical exercises and tasks they will take you along an exploration in improvisation, performance and body-awareness. Professional dancer, amateur or never seen a dancefloor before? No problem, the lesson is open for everyone.
This week, guest teacher Jija Sohn will give the Movement Class. Jija Sohn is a young dancemaker living and working in Amsterdam. In her work Jija explores how to communicate emotional or formless material with dance and movement to bridge the gap between different cultures. She is interested in the question how cultural diversity can be transformed into a universal value, and searches for the core of the human experience.
