Every Monday evening you can engage with the emerging choreographers connected to Dansateliers. By the use of physical exercises and tasks they will take you along an exploration in improvisation, performance and body-awareness. Professional dancer, amateur or never seen a dancefloor before? No problem, the lesson is open for everyone.
This week’s Movement Class guest teacher is Amparo González Sola.
Amparo González Sola is an argentinian choreographer and dancer based in The Netherlands. Her work goes from dance performance to participative projects. She did the master DAS Choreography (AHK, 2022). She recently premiered “The conspiracy of forms” (2023), and “If every rock is a hole” (2022) both within the Spring Performing Arts Festival.
Her work as a teacher develops within a multidisciplinary perspective. It intertwines her education as a dancer, her studies of philosophy, studies on fascia (connective tissue) and on high performance sport training. In her classes she promotes the emergence of personal dances, through the perception of one’s own body and the encounter with others. She has called her methodology of training and movement research: “Tensegrity Training”.
