try-out The Bench (by accident)

On May 8, ashleyho+domeniknaue will perform their first try-out of their new work The Bench (by accident).

Makers ashleyho+domeniknaue have worked for two weeks at Dansateliers on their new project The Bench (by accident). Their performance will premiere on May 21 and 22 at the SPRING Festival. During this try-out all elements such as light, sound, scenography, and performance come together.

What is The Bench (by accident)?

This performance traverses interiors of being lost, loneliness, and yearning. The performers dance a long poem, between moments of meeting and not meeting. The Bench is not about arriving. It is about staying – with uncertainty, with each other, with what we are incapable of resolving. Drifting in the ocean, two voices call out, listening for response. They want to feel closer. They’re going places, but where to?
