TREMBLE

Skipping brings you back to your childhood. Chorographer Andres Hannes makes it a complete performance, with spatial patterns and complex rhythms.

A group of dancers embark on a journey without a destination. They hop across the floor in geometric patterns, falling in and out of rhythm. Together, they form a body that moves dynamically through space. The audience is drawn into the flow of the skippers, as if gently shaking on a moving vehicle. Rival Consoles composes the music to go with it.

“Anyone who sees a hopping movement recognises the fun you get out of it,” says choreographer Andreas Hannes. “What fascinates me is the energy you invest when you keep up the skipping for an hour on a stage in the theatre. How do you get inspired along the way?”
