About RIDCC
RIDCC (Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition) is the world’s largest choreography competition dedicated to duets. In June 2026, we will once again welcome outstanding dance talent from across the globe to Rotterdam for the eight edition of RIDCC.
During this vibrant live event, 16 emerging choreographic voices will present innovative, diverse, and compelling duets, competing for a range of prestigious awards. RIDCC is more than a competition; it is a unique international platform that serves as a launchpad for groundbreaking choreographers from all dance styles and backgrounds, with a strong focus on creativity, diversity and innovation.
From all submissions, a pre-jury will select 16 choreographers to join us in Rotterdam, where their work will be showcased and celebrated. Entries are evaluated on elements such as originality, creativity, movement language, structure, and composition. The 2026 pre-jury consists of: Mischa van Leeuwen (chairman), Emma Porter, Lorena Nogal, Emmi Väisänen and Rauf “RubberLegz” Yasit. The 16 chosen participants will be announced in mid-April 2026.
Criteria:
- Choreography must be a duet between 7 and 12 minutes.
- To encourage innovation, the duet must be no older than three years.
- Choreographers must be available for all competition days (June 17, 18, 19 and 20, 2026) and participate in RIDCC’s talent development program.
- A full-length registration video is required (no trailers).
Deadline: March 1, 2026
