Oumar Jalloh is a multidisciplinary artist using movement as his main way of expressing. Moving from vision, a vision in which freedom in creative expression stands central to be able to stand in authenticity and experience this as something “regardless”. Surpassing the degree some people think is normal or acceptable, and daring to reveal the strangeness of being into the world.
From an early age starting with breaking and being involved in the Dutch hip hop scene, he began to make his first steps towards becoming a professional artist. Coming across the styles electro and contemporary his work started to become more focused towards film and theater. Continuing to deepen the relationship with his art he further expands his work combining meme, fashion and scenography creating artistic and expressive scenes.
From February 5–8 and 12–15, Oumar will present his new work alongside other emerging makers to the public during One Night’s Dance.
