Dorrit Griffioen is a dancer and choreographer who works from the freedom and energy of hip-hop freestyle. During her studies in Paris, she explored various dance styles and found her home in hip-hop. She is currently delving into hip-hop freestyle and battles, investigating how to bring that raw energy into the theatre.
For Dorrit, dance is a language everyone speaks: a way to connect, share stories, and communicate without words. In her work, she seeks authenticity, connection, and the power of intuitive movement.
From February 5–8 and 12–15, Dorrit will present her new work alongside other emerging makers to the public during One Night’s Dance.
