Boy oh Boy 2: God’s first creature, is a journey through the inner self, interpreting the subconscious through a play of light and imagery.
Connor starts by showing the audience an empty room. Soon enough he builds an entire playing field using raw theater equipment and cables. From this point on, what seemed to be a lighthearted, transparent theater performance quickly evolves into a deep trip down the rabbit hole of the subconscious and the imaginary. Connor plays with what we can and cannot see, which affects the vulnerability of both himself and his audience.
After he has shown what seems to be the deepest aspects hiding in an individual, he turns the light back on, reminding us that this void is nothing more than a room.
