The performance I trust in this life first came to life during the Dutch Dance Days 2014 in the Bonnefantenmuseum. The work, that was firstly created as part of the European project Performing Gender attempts to question the ways we approach an other’s identity. Will analyzing our identities divide us in the same way as the instinctive fear of the unknown has?
I trust in this life has taken on different forms and was presented in various venues and festivals like Motel Mozaique, Wereld van Witte de With and De Parade. In whatever form, with the work Connor invites the spectator to re-evaluate their personal relation with themselves, each other and their surrounding.
