Meet the work of choreographers Andreas Hannes and Sigrid Stigsdatter Mathiassen during their studio presentation!
Andreas Hannes (1987) won the Moving Forward-trajectory, a trajectory that supports beginning choreographers with studio time and advice from various dance houses. In April, Andreas works at Dansateliers. For this research presentation, he develops his skipping practice by opening it up to an infinite space. He assumes that his body is a spaceship that is constantly travelling. Skipping happens in his body, but also out of his body. Driven by fantasies and sci-fi scenarios, he is aiming to make visible a space that is always in transit, full of images and narratives.
Sigrid Stigsdatter Mathiassen works on an energetic encounter between music, body and text. She uses the making of meaning as a tool to create meaningful encounters with sound, body and text. In this way, she aims to give attention to the unrecognisable without making sense of it.
