In 2017, Andreas started the in-development practice of continuous skipping. In his previous performance The City – A skipping piece, he showcased the potential of skipping through formal constraints. For this research presentation, he develops the skipping practice further by opening it up to an infinite space. He assumes that his body is a spaceship that is constantly travelling. Skipping happens in his body, but also out of his body. Driven by fantasies and sci-fi scenarios, he is aiming to make visible a space that is always in transit, full of images and narratives.
In 2018, Andreas graduated from the School for New Dance Development and received the Moving Forward Trajectory Award 2018. As a part of this trajectory, he works at Dansateliers in April and will present the outcome of his research in a studio presentation on 26, 27 and 28 April.
