Hedda Twiehaus

“don‘t dance …… move.“ 

Hedda Twieaus’ professional life started in 1969 when she started dancing with the Stuttgart Ballet under director/choreographer John Cranko. She continued her career with Ballet Frankfurt in 1981 followed by joining Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) under Jiri Kylian in 1987 where she started working with NDT 2 in the position of a rehearsal director and teacher. She assisted leading choreographers for over 20 years and supported upcoming talents. She rehearsed and trained generations of young NDT dancers experiencing contemporary dance on a basis of Classical Ballet. Committed to role in dance she advocates that we all may enjoy dance in a search for its physical and mental integrity.
