Michael Jahoda (USA) is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer. He studied on scholarship at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center in NYC and danced with the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble. He was a Principal Dancer with Jennifer Muller/the Works (NYC), and with Anouk van Dijk (NL) o.a.
In 2001 he co-created the Phillip Project; a multi-media collaboration
project that has created a series of 17 site-specific multi-media Episodes in the USA, NL, Sweden and Finland.
Michael is currently Rehearsal Director and Chor. Assistant for Conny
Janssen Danst and has been teaching classes and workshops internationally since 1989.
The "Muller Technique" is a refined and dynamic modern dance technique and approach developed in NY in the 1970's. The 3 part class consists of integrated center work, barre work and phrase work. Each element of the class, and the over-all class progression, are designed to facilitate and integrate three-dimensional physical awareness, consistent breath control, increased energy management and a fundamental understanding of essential movement principles.
